🎉 What’s new in Release v230?

A fresh release, featuring new ways to collect opt-ins, smarter pricing controls, and a raft of CMS and accessibility improvements.

✅ Collect opt-ins at exactly the right moment

What changed?

  • Your communications and marketing opt-ins can now be displayed at any point within the integrated order flow. In addition to account creation, login, and the account section.
  • This opens up new possibilities, for example, asking for visitors to opt-in during the order flow, when they are more engaged.

🕐 Show the right price at the right time, automatically

What changed?

  • Price types now have an availability window, with a start date and time, and an optional end date, to control when each price is visible to visitors.
  • For venues using Tixly, Ticketmatic, or Ovatic, these availability dates are imported automatically from your ticketing system and kept in sync.
  • For Itix venues, prices are only imported on the dates permitted by your Itix settings. If your ticketing system integration doesn't support this yet, but you think it's useful for you, reach out to us.
  • When your ticketing system is leading on price, manual editing of availability dates is disabled to keep everything consistent.

How do I use it?

  • Go to Control Panel > Prices and enable "Import from/until dates per price type" to activate the feature.
  • Availability windows will then be imported automatically from your ticketing system, or can be set manually where your system is not leading.

📍 Filter your Cinema Planner by location

What changed?

  • The Cinema Planner now supports filtering by location, making it easier for visitors to find screenings at a specific venue on multi-site organisations.
  • Only locations set to "visible" will appear in the filtered overview, keeping the options clean and relevant.

How do I use it?

  • Make sure the locations you want to include are set to visible in your Dashboard.

♿ Your seatmap is now more accessible and easier to navigate for everyone

What changed?

  • A new "Take me back" arrow button at the very top of the seatmap lets keyboard-only users exit quickly, without having to tab through all seat information first.
  • Seat descriptions are clearer, with improved focus handling for navigating between seats on keyboard.
  • The "Delete seat" button now has a proper label for screen reader users.
  • Alert messages (such as "Don't leave single seats") are now correctly labelled for assistive technology.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed. These accessibility improvements are live for all visitors.

Best Practice! For the best accessible experience alongside a seatmap, also enable the BAS (Best Available Seats) alternative: Control Panel > Ticketing > "Enable both Best Seats and seat selection".

⚙️ The CMS continues to be refreshed and improved

What changed?

  • The Cancellation Survey module is now in the new CMS layout.
  • Easier item sorting: such as Price Types and any other lists with drag & drop optionPeople now let you set an item's specific position in the list. When your list spans multiple pages, this is easier than drag and drop. Set a position and all other items shift automatically.
    • Notion image
  • A permissions issue that caused some users to see an error when editing in the new Productions module has been resolved.
  • The Price Types module now uses dropdowns for all min/max/step settings, making configuration more straightforward.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed. These improvements are available throughout your CMS.

🖥️ Digital signage improvements

What changed?

  • Narrowcasting: "Add slideshow" button is now also available at the top of the screen, saving you from scrolling.
  • Wayfinding: Events in the past are now automatically removed from the Wayfinding Events Module after a set number of days, keeping your overview clean and current. Default is 7 days, to change it contact your Customer Success team.
  • Wayfinding: fixed an issue where certain icons were not displaying correctly in Safari.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed. These improvements are already live.

For Tessitura venues

🎭 Tessitura price updater now supports v15

What changed?

  • The price updater previously released for Tessitura v16 now also works for venues running Tessitura v15.
  • It looks at all available Modes of Sale (MOS) configured for display on the website, and combines all price levels to create a single final amount per ticket per price type.

For Tixly & Tessitura venues

❤️ Wishlist icons now visible when logged in via SSO

What changed?

  • Wishlist icons now appear for visitors logged in via single sign-on (SSO) on Tixly and Tessitura sites.
  • When a visitor is not logged in, wishlist icons are hidden until a new redirect mechanism is in place to handle SSO login correctly. This is coming in a future release.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed. This is live automatically for venues using Tixly or Tessitura SSO.

⚙️ Additional fixes & Improvements

Productions & suggestions

  • Fixed incorrect ordering of suggestions on production pages. Manually selected suggestions now appear first; the system then defaults to future productions with matching genres and tags.

Coming Soon part

  • Following the full reconstruction of the Coming Soon part in v229, a number of minor style issues have been resolved and general housekeeping completed.

Tixly

  • Fixed an issue where the cart count could disappear after logging in via Tixly SSO.

Images & carousels

  • Fixed randomly missing images in carousels that could occur when the carousel loaded before the image had fully loaded.

Event import

  • Improved logging when an incoming movie already exists as a default production, making it easier to understand what happened during import.

Vriendenloterij:

  • A new VIP card validation check shows how many tickets a cardholder is still permitted to buy, before they reach the checkout.
