V238 Preview | Release Notes - November 2026

Preview Release: Monday 2 November, 2026

🎉 What’s new in Release v238 Preview?

This release makes it quicker to bulk upload redirects lists into your CMS, improves seatmap accessibility, and made using CultureSuite CMS easier. It's also our first Preview release under our new release rhythm.

♿ Improved accessibility for seatmaps

What changed?

  • Better keyboard navigation within the seatmap.
  • Each seat now shows a distinct character to identify its zone.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed for keyboard navigation and zone characters. These are already live on your seatmap.
  • Check your current seatmap colour palette is accessible. A default accessible colour theme is available: to switch to it, or if you're unsure whether your palette is accessible, contact our Customer Success team.

🧭 Faster search and navigation in the CMS

What changed?

  • Search and filters in one toolbar: following your feedback, the search bar in every list view is now smaller and sits right next to the filter option, directly above your list. The filter used to live in the top bar of your CMS. It has moved to where you need it, and it's been improved too.

  • Jump straight to connected items: new shortcuts in the options menu on the right of every item take you to the items linked to it:
    • From a theme group to its themes
    • From a location to its halls and spaces
    • From a space to the halls that have that space
    • From a status to the events with that status
    • From a production to its events
    • From a story type to the pages with that story type

  • Clearer messages while you work: every CMS form now uses the same message system at the top of your screen. Success messages disappear after a short time. Errors and notices stay visible until you close them.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed. These improvements are live in all new CMS modules.
  • Use the filter option next to the search bar to narrow your list by any detail of your items.
  • Open the options menu on the right of any item to find the new shortcuts. Links to events open in the new Events module.

📥 Faster bulk imports for redirects, visitor tags and mailing lists

What changed?

  • The Redirects module has a new import option for lists of redirects.
  • CSV imports performance improvements, so large files no longer time out.
  • This also applies to imports of visitor tags and mailing lists.

How do I use it?

  • Only available in Beta. Go to Website > Redirects and open the Beta version as shown.
  • Choose the import option.
  • Upload your .csv file. You can close the tab and carry on with other work while it processes.

📬 A clearer overview of your sent mailings

Mailings module with notice that there are unscheduled and unsent mailings older than 30 days.

What changed?

  • Mailings that have never been sent and are older than 30 days are now hidden from the mailing overview. This leaves more room to report on the mailings you've actually sent.
  • A new yellow notice box at the top of the overview links to these hidden mailings.

How do I use it?

  • No action needed to see the tidier overview.
  • If you use older unsent mailings as templates, select the link in the yellow notice box to find them again.

⚙️ Additional fixes & Improvements

A handful of improvements that tidy things up and keep everything running smoothly.

Website & visitor experience

  • Wishlist sorting: past events now appear at the bottom of a visitor's wishlist. We keep past events in wishlists on purpose, to avoid confusion and to keep the data for your future campaigns.
  • Language preferences: when a visitor is logged in, their website language settings are now stored in their account.
  • Page part anchors: wide anchor menus now switch to a drop-down when they don't fit the screen, instead of running off the edge.
  • Reviews carousel: easier browsing through the reviews on production pages.
  • Showcase banners: the code behind your showcase banners has been modernised to support a new Showcase template with a fixed 16:9 aspect ratio, coming in the next Core release. Let us know if you notice any visual change.
  • CSS File size: reduced for faster loading and easier implementations.

Ticketing & e-tickets

  • Event statuses stay accurate: if your ticketing system doesn't respond, event statuses no longer switch to "Not on Sale". They only change when an availability update successfully returns new data.
  • E-tickets: remain in My Account until the event has finished.

CMS

  • Mailing query counts: the query count now works on mailings while they are being sent.

For Itix venues

  • Visitors now see clear feedback if their Cineville pass can't be validated during purchase.

For Tessitura venues

  • Skip links and keyboard navigation now work correctly in your TNEW template.

New release rhythm has started

Release 238 is our first release on the new cycle. From here, we're introducing a clearer two-tier release structure.

What changed?

  • Preview releases: new features and updates every three weeks, available first to a group of Preview users.
  • Core releases: released every quarter. This is where everything from the preceding Preview releases reaches every venue in the CultureSuite community.
  • Releases 238, 239 and 240 will be Preview releases. Release 241 will be the first Core release, arriving in January 2027.
  • Development continues every three weeks, exactly as it does now. What's changing is how new work is packaged and communicated to you.

What does this mean for me?

  • No action needed. Every new feature reaches your website in the next Core release, bundled together with clear communication about what's new.
🚧
Bug fixes are never held back. Bug fixes and urgent patches are not affected by this change. They are deployed continuously and are never held back for either release type.
