Cloudflare CDN
(Content Delivery Network)
Our main hosting environment is based in the Netherlands, close to AMS-IX - one of the largest and most well-connected internet exchanges globally. This has proven to allow fast, stable and efficient data transfer a.k.a. fast and reliable websites.
For locations further away from Europe (yes Honolulu Museum of Art, looking at you) we have seen impressive test results when adding in a global CDN to speed things up even more.
Let us know if you are interested in setting this up for your website - offering faster load times for locations outside Europe.
Showcase Video
As part of our ongoing Accessibility work, we teamed up with Digitaal Toegankelijk, to perform a full scan of the Peppered platform. You can expect us to take care of all the technical aspects of accessibility, so you donβt have to. A lot of the Platform is already very accessible, but we can always improve, and updates are already being scheduled.
We are also preparing Accessibility scans specifically focused on your content and styling, so you can make sure your content is fully accessible and is presented in the best way for all Visitors.
As a first step we are introducing a pause button for the showcase banner video. As the WCAG accessibility guideline 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide) states that moving images should offer the option to be paused.
New option to display "from" prices instead of min-max range
A new feature that displays only the lowest price with a label in front of it is available for all Production and Event cards, and detail pages. Thanks to Lowry who made this possible.
This new setting can be found in System > Control Panel > Formats.
There is also a new template text for the βFromβ label - FE3_priceFormat_from.
Did you know that Price Types can be excluded from being displayed as the lowest (or highest) price by unchecking the box βInclude in min-max price rangeβ of that price type in the price type module!
Additional Costs visible in Purchase Path
The cost explainer that can be shown on the Production page, informing Visitors about additional costs that might be charged during a booking, is now repeated in the purchase path. It is visible on Select Your Own Seat (SYOS) bookings and the Best Available Seats (BAS) purchase steps for each event. This also works for event specific cost explainers. Making sure your visitors are as informed as they can be during their purchase journey.
We added a live-update for the total order costs too, when selecting shipping options that come with extra costs. We used to communicate these costs on the next page, but with the introduction of iDeal 2.0 that page was removed. We now calculate the extra costs of the selected delivery option live as you select them.
