Introducing Our New CMS: A Leap Forward in Usability and Design
We’re excited to announce the gradual rollout of our newly redesigned Content Management System (CMS). This new platform has been carefully crafted to replace our existing CMS, offering a more intuitive and user-friendly experience for all our users.
The transition to the new CMS will occur in phases, ensuring a seamless adoption process while giving you ample time to explore and adjust to its enhanced features.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Enhanced Usability: With a fresh design and simplified workflows, the new CMS is built to make managing content more straightforward and efficient.
- Modern Interface: A sleek, modern interface tailored to improve navigation and accessibility.
- Streamlined Processes: Redesigned tools and processes reduce complexity, saving you time and effort.
Our goal is to empower you with a platform that better meets your needs, whether you’re creating, editing, or managing content. As we transition, we’ll provide comprehensive support, including training resources, guides, and opportunities to provide feedback to help us further refine the system.
Stay tuned for updates as we roll out the new CMS and take the first steps toward an improved content management experience together.
Phase One of the New CMS Rollout: A Solid Foundation for the Future
We’re thrilled to announce the first phase of our new CMS rollout.
In this phase, we’re introducing several essential modules that have been completely rebuilt from the ground up on the new CMS foundation. These modules incorporate the redesigned front-end interface, offering a fresh look and feel that prioritises usability and simplicity.
Key highlights of Phase One include:
- Rebuilt Core Modules: The first set of modules mirrors the functionality you’re familiar with in the old CMS but with a modernised design and enhanced usability.
- "Classic" Switch: To ensure continuity and a smooth transition, the old versions of these modules will remain accessible through the "Classic" switch. This gives you the flexibility to toggle between the new and old interfaces as you adapt to the new system.
- Improved Main Menu: The main menu has been tweaked to maximise your workspace. This new design provides more room for you to focus on your tasks while keeping navigation intuitive and accessible.
- Expanded Access to New Modules: Many of these new modules were previously available during the beta launch but were hidden and required activation through a special setting. With this official rollout, these modules are now accessible to everyone, eliminating the need for additional configuration.
This approach allows you to explore the benefits of the new CMS at your own pace while maintaining access to the tools you’ve been using.
Improved layout
The new layout optimises available space, allowing you to see more content in overviews. Global controls for account, dark mode and website have moved to the sidebar, still always accessible. The topbar is now dedicated to module-specific actions, helping you stay on task.

New modules going live in release 207
This first phase is rolled out to simple modules you might not frequently use, like:
- Locations
- Cross-sell statuses
- Spaces
- Visitor Account fields
- Organisations
- Languages
- Menus
- Salutations
- Wayfinding events
- a lot of “system” modules
New UX options
Quickly toggle settings on and off straight from the overview, without going into each page.
Sort an entire list by column to quickly find what you are looking for, using the new sorting features (in this example we sorted on the column “city”).
The new topbar sticks to the top of the screen while scrolling and offers a quick “save” option that lets you stay on the page after saving. The new “Done” button saves all changes and takes you back to the overview.
Switch between New and Classic
You can recognise a new module from it’s label “new” in the main CMS menu.
If you want to work with the “old” module, there is an option to switch by using the “classic” button behind the module name in the menu.
We want to hear from you!
Your feedback during this phase is invaluable. It will help us refine the experience and guide future phases of the rollout. Together, we’re building a platform designed for your needs, today and tomorrow.

Where do we go from here?
We’re excited to share ongoing updates as we roll out the new CMS across all modules. This includes modernising features such as the media gallery and crop tool, introducing new interactions to enhance page- and query building, and even testing smart AI solutions to assist with content creation.
In the next phase, we will slowly replace every CMS module with a brand new one, adding new UX improvements where we can. Some modules will look similar to the original, while more complex modules will get an entire new design and sometimes also completely new features, based on client feedback, feature requests, and new insights.
The journey of the new CMS doesn’t stop there. After the first phase is complete, the CMS offers a flexible foundation for exiting new developments. These will be concentrated around four themes:
1. Design and Layout
Adaptable, pre-designed templates and parts will be offered in user-friendly editors that will enable intuitive layout design without requiring coding expertise or knowledge of all available configuration parameters. Real-time previews will help to check content appearance.
2. Integration & Automation
Automated data synchronisation and collection are pivotal features of the CMS. With robust APIs, the system will streamline content and data sharing with relevant third parties, enhancing integrations. Advanced automation tools will further simplify processes such as content creation, translation, and distribution, while AI technologies will play an increasingly significant role in optimising these workflows.
3. Accessibility
The CMS will prioritise accessibility to ensure that content is usable by all individuals, including those with disabilities. Intuitive tools will help with adding alternative text to images and built-in helpers will provide guidance on creating content that meets WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) compliance, ensuring inclusivity across all platforms.
4. Self-Learning and Training
The CMS will incorporate self-learning and training tools to empower users to maximise their capabilities. Interactive tutorials and contextual help features will support users in navigating complex features and creating high-quality content and layouts.
