Updates voor het dashboard, parts en styling opties

Heb jij het liefst alles in dark mode staan? We’ve got you covered! Voor een redesign van de site van de Doelen maakten we een switch waarmee je van light naar dark mode kunt schakelen. Dat vonden we eigenlijk ook wel een goed idee voor het dashboard. Je vindt de nieuwe switch, weergegeven met een zonnetje/maan (of automatisch op basis van je systeeminstellingen), links bovenin het dashboard.

Het beheren van Events gaat voortaan een stukje sneller. De volgorde van de velden is namelijk verbeterd, waardoor de belangrijkste velden bovenaan in de module worden weergegeven.

Daarnaast hebben we ervoor gezorgd dat voor elke plek waar je Events of Productions kunt selecteren (dat is bij Themes, Cross-sells, Collections en Related productions op een pagina), je nu op alle Events en Productions kunt zoeken. Na verloop van tijd zullen deze ook niet meer uit de selectie verdwijnen.

Er zijn aanpassingen doorgevoerd waardoor zowel de Narrowcasting- als de Mailing-module sneller werken.

Er is een mooie, nieuwe styling voor Quotes. Hierbij komt er een lijn onderaan de quote te staan en staat de naam van de auteur van de quote voortaan altijd gecentreerd.

Voor Featured en Event Sliders kon je er voorheen al voor kiezen om Tags weer te geven of te verbergen. Door het nieuwe parameter ‘showGenres’ op ‘1’ of ‘true’ te zetten, kan hetzelfde nu ook met Genres worden gedaan.

Video’s en posters zijn standaard altijd zichtbaar in de Brochure view, maar je kunt er nu ook voor kiezen om deze hier niet te tonen door dit in de brochureField aan te geven.

We werken er al een tijdje aan om de template-engine die wij gebruiken voor het programmeren van de websites, om te zetten. De nieuwe technologieën helpen niet alleen op het gebied van snelheid en flexibiliteit, maar bieden voor de langere termijn ook nieuwe opties aan die we verwachten nodig te gaan hebben. Langzaam maar zeker worden alle onderdelen van de sites overgezet. Ook in deze release hebben we weer meerdere onderdelen omgebouwd. Hiermee zetten we belangrijke stappen voor de toekomstbestendigheid en schaalbaarheid van alle sites.

Updates to the dashboard, parts and styling options

Do you prefer having everything in dark mode? We have your back! We created a switch that enables you to move from light to dark mode for de Doelen's redesigned website and thought it was a great idea for the dashboard as well. The new switch can be found in the top left corner of the dashboard, indicated by a sun or moon (or will be automatically set depending on your system settings).

Managing Events will be a little quicker from now on. The fields' hierarchy has been adjusted, putting the most important fields at the top of the module.

Additionally, you can now search for all Events and Productions in every place where you can select them (such as with Themes, Cross-sells, Collections, and Related Productions on a page). Over time, these won't disappear from the selection anymore either.

Adjustments have been made that make both the Narrowcasting and Mailing modules work faster.

There is a nice new styling for Quotes. A line will be placed at the bottom of the quote and the name of the author of the quote will always be centered.

For Featured and Event Sliders you were already able to show or hide Tags. By setting the new 'showGenres' parameter to '1' or 'true', the same can now be done with Genres as well.

Videos and posters are always visible in the Brochure view by default, but you can now also choose not to show them here by indicating this in the brochureField.

We have been working for some time already to convert the template engine we use to programme the websites. The new technologies give new possibilities for the longer future, which we anticipate will be necessary, in addition to helping with speed and flexibility. All components of the sites are being migrated gradually but surely. In this release, we have converted a number of parts again, with which we are making crucial advancements for the scalability and future-proofing of all sites.
