What is the Spektrix Upsell Part?
The Spektrix Upsell part uses Spektrix Web Components to help you add fundraising opportunities to your website pages.
This is the first version of the Spektrix Upsell part. In future releases, we'll be adding Memberships and Merchandise options to give you even more ways to engage with your visitors.
Before you start: You need to be using the new CMS page module to access this feature.
Implementation set up
Good news! This setup has already been completed by our team. However, if the Spektrix Upsell part isn't working as expected, please check these implementation details:
- Check the Content page setup
- Go to System > Routes & Parts
- Verify that the Spektrix Upsell part is added to the Content page
- If it's not there, click Add in the top right of your screen and add it manually
- Verify your Client name
- Go to Control Panel > Connectors > Spektrix
- Check that the "Client name" is configured correctly
- This should be your venue's name as used by Spektrix
If you're still experiencing issues after checking these settings, please contact CultureSuite Support.
Step 1: Access the Spektrix Upsell Part
- Go to Stories menu in your CMS
- Find the Pages module and select the Beta Tag next to the name to access the updated CMS version
- Select the page where you want to add the Spektrix Upsell part
- Or click Add New Page to create a fresh page
Step 2: Add the Spektrix Component
- Click Add New Part
- From the menu on the right, select Spektrix Upsell
Step 3: Configure Your Component
- Go to the Configuration tab
- You'll see the default parameters
- In the Add Parameters menu, select Component
- Choose the component from the dropdown
Your Donations Options
Once you've selected Donations, configure these settings:
Fund
- Select which Spektrix Fund these donations should go to
- This links directly to your Funds in Spektrix
Custom amount
- Check this box if you want visitors to type in their own donation amount
Fixed amounts
- Set suggested donation amounts that appear as buttons
- Enter the number value (e.g., 5) and press Enter to add
Also be aware that most people prefer the "middle" option, so make sure that option is balanced. While £25 might look steep in a 5, 25, 50 offering, it might look more attractive in a 5, 25, 100 offering.
Forward to basket
- Check this box if you want Visitors to be redirected straight to the basket page after adding their donation. Leave, to stay on the current page.
Click Save to finish setting up your Spektrix Upsell part.
Your Memberships Options
Once you've selected Memberships, configure these settings:
Membership
- Select the Membership you want Visitors to join
- This links directly to your Memberships in Spektrix
Auto-renew
- Check this box if the membership has an option to auto-renew
Forward to basket
- Check this box if you want Visitors to be redirected straight to the basket page after adding their donation. Leave, to stay on the current page.
Click Save to finish setting up your Spektrix Upsell part.
Spektrix Upsell Template Texts
There are a couple of Template Texts for you to set the default text for Spektrix Upsell part:
Below is a list of the available template text. All Spektrix Upsell Template Text begin with FE3_spektrix
- FE3_spektrix_clear_donation_button: Label for the clear donation button in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_donate_button: Label for the donate button in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_donate_custom_amount_button: Label for the custom donation amount button in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_donate_custom_amount_label: Label for the donation amount field in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_donate_error_message: Message displayed after a failed donation attempt in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_donate_success_message: Message displayed after a successful donation in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_membership_autorenew_label: Label for the membership auto-renewal option in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_membership_button: Label for the membership button in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_membership_error_message: Message displayed after a failed membership purchase attempt in Spektrix components.
- FE3_spektrix_membership_success_message: Message displayed after a successful membership purchase in Spektrix components.
Add context to your ask
Add context to your donation ask by combining the Spektrix Upsell part with other Peppered parts like Description. This helps tell your story and explain why donations matter.
