Mailings: Unsubscribe headers
In a previous release we resolved how we handled the new unsubscribe headers for Gmail and Yahoo, preventing unsubscribe emails being sent to you directly. In this release we took care of all other mail clients. All unsubscribes that result from their new unsubscribe header will now be processed by the Peppered platform itself. You should no longer get an email notification when a visitor uses the new unsubscribe feature in the mail unsubscribe header. More information on Making emails successful in the link below:
Query Builder: New Archive Feature
Query Builder now has a new archive feature. You can archive any queries no longer used, or you do not want to see in the main list. Each query also comes with a new “archive after use” option which will move the query to the archive after the mail has been sent.
You can Archive Queries from the initial screen
You can also un-archive a query if you want to use it again. This is found on the Query Builder overview screen by selecting Archive at the top right. This new feature will enable you to keep your query collection tidy.
Buttons, buttons, buttons
- The button styling in the text editor in the description part of newsletters was causing issues in Outlook, and we could not fix this in the text editor. The mailing description part now comes with a dedicated field for button label and button URL, so we can format the button the same as we do in the production and story parts of the mailings.
- We added a secondary button style in text editor for the website. Each website comes with a primary and secondary button style, which are now both available to you in the text editor. Just create a link first, and apply the button style from the text editor drop down.
- We added an optional left positioning for the “my account” button on the “welcome” part on the home page. To update this use the Parameter buttonAlign.
Additional updates
- Improved validation report on manual cross-sells imports via csv.
- Added multilingual support to external order URL template, this means your visitors will be able to access an external purchase path in the correct language where the external purchase path supports multiple languages via URL.
- New date-time formatting system has been added. This one is an invisible change - the way all dates and times of events are processed in the system has been upgraded. If you happen to notice something a bit off with your event dates on your website, please let us know via the Support Portal. One known small change is that months longer than three characters now temporarily get abbreviated with a dot (.) at the end. This will be fixed in an upcoming small update of our hosting environment.
- Removed legacy event feeds. As we announced a year ago, the old eventfeeds “Peppered” and "iAmsterdam” have been marked for removal at the end of 2023 and are now finally permanently removed. If you somehow still used one of those feeds for external systems, please switch to one of our modern event feed formats
